Got Blood Pressure?

in Blood Pressure | by | with Comments Off on Got Blood Pressure?

Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, UK have found that magnesium supplements can decrease blood pressure over a 3-4 week period, the size of the effect increasing proportionately to the size of the dosages.

Why Magnesium is important for us

Magnesium, which is GREATLY lacking from our diets–more so than even calcium– is necessary to relax the muscles in the body.

Inside your blood vessels, there is a layer of smooth muscle. Due to a lack of minerals, namely magnesium, these muscles can contract and tighten up. Like a constricted garden hose, the pressure goes up.

Now this data is not readily known or accepted by most medical doctors. I’m not saying they are unduly influenced by drug reps from Big Pharma, but last time I checked, blood pressure drugs were in the Top 10 sold in America. In fact, according to WebMD, there were over 135,000,000 prescriptions for two of the types of blood pressure drugs in 2010. And there are dozens of these to “choose from”.

Magnesium, A Real Solution

So realize that taking magnesium is the real deal. A lack of it is most likely the CAUSE of blood pressure problems, as well as muscle spasms, pain, blood sugar problems, bone weakness and much more.
