Digestion

I need you to have an open mind here for a minute.

I know you may be experiencing poor to severe digestive problems and I'll get to some fixes for you that
you'll appreciate.

But first, let's go back in time 1000 years or so. We didn't have microwaves, drive-thru's or any real
processed foods.

We ate what the earth presented to us at the time, including seasonal foods. They were whole foods,
which we ate raw or sometimes cooked/smoked.  We did get by.

In fact, our diets at the time provided sufficient nutrition that the future generations expanded and
expanded.  The survival of the human species continues some 1000 years later into our now-generation.

If we were to go all of the way back to the beginning of man, we’d be spanning over 1 million years. But
first let’s look at the past 50 years.  If you took a pencil and used this as a representation of the million
years of man’s existence on this planet, with the eraser being at man's beginning and the pencil lead
being present time, the last 50 years on this time track would be the very last itsy fraction of a millimeter,
the very end of the sharpened pencil lead.  You wouldn’t be able to see it with the naked eye.  Make
sense?

And over this million year period, the body developed what I call the genetic “bio-computer”.  This
computer has collected data for the past million years, that leads us toward survival.  Our bio-computer
(which runs in the background and you’re completely unaware of it) helps direct the body towards
maximum survival.  It has catalogued everything in the diet for the past million years and directs the
body, through appetite and natural food cravings, to eat the type of food that is needed in present time
by that body.

An extreme example of the bio-computer at work is found in a condition seen in 3rd world countries called
“geophagia”.
Geo means “earth” or “soil” and –phagia means “to eat”.  So geophagia is the phenomena
of (mostly children) eating dirt.  Why dirt?  The body is so starved and deficient that this bio-computer is
instructing the person to find and eat minerals, wherever these can be had.  This includes dirt where
there is a lack of food sources, as in poverty-stricken areas or countries.  Once again this is an extreme
example of the bio-computer at work.

Clark Griswold At Work

Now in the past 50 years, modern “Food Science” was born.  Yes this was perfectly portrayed in the
“Vacation” movies as Chevy Chase’s character “Clark Griswold”.  If you remember, Clark worked for a
company who made food additives and preservatives.  He came up with things that no one had ever
heard of or imagined.

But in this instance, it is not Hollywood.  We've become a nation of having chemicals in our foods or
altering foods in ways that go against nature.

Which leads to the point that in the past 50 or so years, our diets have changed so dramatically that our
on-board bio-computer has no genetic record of the substances we are throwing in our bodies under the
guise of “food”.  It can't "think" with what we are feeding our bodies.

In fact, in the past 20 years alone, something like 14,000 new chemicals have been introduced to man
for the first time.  Many of these chemicals are ingested as drugs or they're additives to our foods.

So our body’s response is “does not compute”.

Attack Thyself

There is a second wave of defense that our body has, once the computer is down.  This includes
“activating the troops” and turning systems on “high” to defend ourselves.

The first, activating the troops refers to our immune system.  The immune system normally gets “woken
up” when there are signs of foreign invaders in our bodies.  These include viruses, bacteria and fungi.

Because of our altered food sources, our immune system is on constant “Red-Alert”.  These over-
anxious white blood cells begin attacking
everything in site, including our own body. This has resulted in
an onslaught of diseases of our digestive track, called “auto-immune” disorders.

Auto-immune refers to the body attacking itself.  Confused and agitated, the immune system goes on a
genocidal mission to search and destroy these unidentified food-like substances (processed and
chemically altered or treated foods).  In the process, it mis-identifies normal structural tissues, like the
stomach and intestines as "invaders".  So it attacks.

The results of this includes conditions such as Chron's disease, ulcerative colitis, stomach ulcers and
even a “nervous stomach”.  These conditions have been on the rise for the past two dozen years.  It has
become commonplace for one to discuss their afflictions: I hear people talking about their GI disorders in
coffee shops as often as they talk about the weather!

Turn It Up To "11"

The second defense the body manifests is cranking the systems on “high”.  Here we have acid reflux,
constant stomach problems such as diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach and even vomiting.

Here's how this second defense works:

The immune system, “failing” to handle the processed food (that is mis-identified and acts as if it were a
foreign invader out to destroy the body), now turns up the stomach acid.  “We’ll burn them out” is the
body’s computation.  Or as the intestinal track is one long giant muscle, the body commands that muscle
is to either move constantly (intestinal pain and diarrhea) or to “freeze” (constipation).

Now, these conditions manifest daily for too many people (probably including yourself).  And the drug
companies know this.  Like placing a school of piranhas in a gold fish pond, they are throwing drugs at
these problems and profiting all the while. These drugs sometimes treat the symptoms but not the
underlying cause.  And they actually feed or perpetuate the condition by confusing the bio-computer
even further!

Chill Out

So what is the solution?

Just as an engine in your car can overheat, to start, let’s cool off the situation.

If you’re eating too many sweets, too much fat, too many drive-thru’s, chill out for a while.  Stop the ice
cream, cookies, the beer, extra calories.  Just start.  Don’t think about calories, diet books, blood types,
etc. S T A R T!

Keep it simple. Where do you start?  Here’s a key:

THE FOODS YOU CRAVE THE MOST ARE THE FOODS YOUR BODY IS REACTING TO!

If you’re craving corn chips you probably have a sensitivity to corn.  If you’re craving fried foods your
body is trying to use fat as energy (it’s inefficient and doesn’t work). And so on.

So start backing off the bad foods you’re eating or drinking, one at a time.  If you’re drinking several “Dr.
Pepper’s” or Cokes a day, substitute water instead.  Eat an apple instead of that candy bar or even
worse, the so-called "protein bar".  You’d have to eat 10 apples to get the sugar of one candy bar.

Get more salads and fruits in your diet.  If you’re trying to or need to lose weight, start eating lots of
melons.  Watermelon, cantaloupe, you name it.  The minerals and juices in the melons tend to flush out
toxins in the body.

Just keep it simple.

The idea here is to remove the “irritant(s)” that may be short-circuiting your digestive track.

Let's Break The Foods Down!

One of the main reasons we’re being attacked by our own bodies is due to the fact that your body is not
able to break the foods down into their digestible components.  Normally, a combination of your digestive
“juices” plus about a half of dozen naturally occurring digestive enzymes will do the trick.

Your body should be producing these digestive enzymes.  There are specific enzymes for digesting fats,
proteins, carbs, lactose and some fibers that enter your digestive track.  Due to the factors discussed
here plus other more complicated events, your body does not have the enzyme presence to do the work.

The results include partially digested food particles, too large to go through the small entrance points,
mostly in your small intestine.  These food particles then sit and rot in your gut.  It’s like seeing road-kill
with buzzards picking away at the carcasses: the bacteria in your gut have a field-day with these
undigested food particles.

Then, like getting food stuck between your teeth, these partially digested globules get trapped in the
lining of your intestines and your body goes on red alert, attacking both the intestine and the food itself,
resulting in the auto-immune destruction of your GI track as well as food allergies or sensitivities.

So to short-out this cycle, I recommend adding a good multi-enzyme supplement I developed called
NuZymes.  NuZymes is a blend of several plant-based enzymes that are almost identical to the ones
your own body makes.  Take NuZymes while you are eating.  It mixes in with the foods you eat and helps
break the foods down to the smallest particle, so your body can absorb them and put them to work.

I have often stated that we’re “Overfed and Undernourished”.  I’ve seen people weighing over 300
pounds who are clinically deficient in protein or other nutrients.

It’s not what you eat, its what your body does with what you eat. It's how it processes these foods.

For every 10 years of life after the age of 20, you lose 13% of your own enzyme production.  This is why
when you’re 60 you can’t eat certain foods, like you did when you were younger.  And it explains why
younger people can eat almost anything and not be affected by it.

When you take NuZymes you're putting back these vital enzymes into your system.  So you begin to
digest foods like you did when you were much younger.  You’ll feel the difference and fast.

Have you ever tried to wash a dirty, greasy pan without a good liquid soap?  This is what happens after
you’ve eaten, let’s say a Quarter-Pounder with French Fries.  The fats and proteins don’t break down.
They do make a good meal for the intestinal bacteria though.  And this is why you feel awful after you eat
a meal that doesn't break down.

So try the above pointers and especially NuZymes.  You’ll see for yourself that this does help!

can feel!
